Following approved funding by West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (WNDC) of £345,345 for a crime prevention and safety scheme on the Brackmills industrial estate, which had been hit by a spate of lorry jackings and thefts, Nova Integrated systems Ltd was selected to install a CCTV and ANPR camera system to cover the whole estate. In the past year, cargoes stolen from lorries included clothes, TVs and other electrical equipment. In the most recent incident, on November 11, 192 Packard Bell computers, worth £115,000, were stolen from a lorry in Salthouse Road, Brackmills.The funding for the system had been secured as a result of businesses on Brackmills Industrial Estate making a commitment to pay for the on-going maintenance and monitoring of the system
