We put up a couple blog posts last week that we felt many of our clients and newsletter subscribers could appreciate, though we forgot to put it on our Spy Gear Blog. Seems if you are recording hidden video with audio, or audio recordings of phone calls or private meeting in 12+ states where they prohibit the recording of any audio without the concent of both parties. Even though it’s legal in up to 38 states, it’s the 12 that make it illegal that will give you big problems, as the Federal law also makes it illegal

Det Ch Insp Mick Neville said the system was an “utter fiasco” – with only 3% of London’s street robberies being solved using security cameras. Although Britain had more cameras than any other European country, he said “no thought” had gone into how to use them. Det Ch Insp Neville heads a unit which is piloting a new database to track offenders using CCTV
